Restaurant Review - Sushi Kuu Singapore

Ask ten Singaporeans what type of cuisine they like best, at least 8.5 would reply 'Japanese'. That 0.5 guy would probably say something like, "I like Jap food but I don't eat raw stuff", thus he counts as half.

When I heard that the popular Japanese restaurant from Hong Kong was arriving on our shores, I was très excited. Fresh sashimi, exquisite creations and smooth sake... Can't wait!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch on 26 August to sample some of the goodies that Sushi Kuu has to offer. There were a number of familiar faces at the event too, like Bobby Tonelli, Jimmy T, George Young (or how I usually address him, 'Handsome George'), Wendy Jacobs and others. Guess the owners are pretty popular people. *chuckles*

Btw, apologies for the lack of pictures cuz almost every photo I took, had a hand stretched out to grab the food. LEAVE MY FOOD ALONE!

With the gals and Ben.

Smooth fresh uni on plump succulent rice. OM NOM NOM!

Here's a short video before my hands got too shaky from the ample flow of sake: Chef @ Work!

The adventure begins...

Seriously.
Why start now?
There are billions of blogs out there in cyberspace, trillions of Instagrammers and gazillion twitter users.

SO WHY START NOW?
Because. I. Can.

Plus I need somewhere to document my semi-public life. In English.

I've attended so many food tastings, events, parties, launches and met so many interesting, wonderful, annoying, piece-of-shit characters. They deserve some air time. Also, I'm at this stage of my life where I'm finally comfortable in my own skin and I'm not fretting about getting people to accept or like me. HELL YA.

Before I forget, let me add in a disclaimer as the last sentence to my first post:
Whatever I say here are my own personal views and have nothing to do with my employer or my family.

Now that we've got that out of the way, it's time to ROCK 'N' ROLL.
